Admission Procedure

THE BASIS OF ADMISSION (COLLEGE CODE 52)
A candidate desirous of seeking admission for two years B.Ed. regular course in this College should fulfill the following criteria:

ELIGIBILITY AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 (i)     The candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (Medical/Non-Medical/ Commerce/ Arts) and or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/  Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto and 45%  marks in case of SC/ST/OBC/ Physically Handicapped categories in the aforesaid Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree and 50% marks for Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University established by law in India are eligible for admission to the programme.

Note: No relaxation, even 0.01% in the above prescribed percentage of marks shall be granted under any circumstances.
 (ii)     The candidates who have appeared in BA/B.Sc./B.Com. final year or Master’s Degree, Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology  or any other qualification equivalent thereto examination and the result of the same has not yet been declared, can also apply for B.Ed. However, the admission will be made subject to the production of certificate of qualifying examination with required percentage of aggregate marks in the aforesaid examinations as per the eligibility clause of the prospectus on the day of admission/counseling. In case, a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility conditions on the particular day of admission/counseling, he/she will have no right for admission to the B.Ed. course.
 (iii)     85%  seats are reserved for Bonafide/Domicile candidates of Himachal Pradesh and 15% to the candidates of other States
AGE: There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to the regular B.Ed. Course of two years. [High Court orders in LPA No.: 104 of 2012 decided on August 27, 2012]
 (iv)     All the relevant certificates/testimonials along with attested copies be brought at the time of admission and should consist of the following in the order given below:

  • Bonafide/ Domicile certificate
  • Claim consideration certificate for admission under any of the Reserved categories (The certificate should be the latest and signed by the competent authority as mentioned in the ‘Instructions’ except SC/ST/Bonafide certificate).

Note: The certificates at Sr. No. 1,2,3,5,6 & 8 Should be issued within six months of the submission of Application Form.

  • Matriculation certificate or equivalent.
  • + 2 certificate or equivalent.
  • B.A./B.Sc./B.Com part I, II and III/M.A./M.Sc./Bachelor of Engg./Technology  certificates/Other Equivalent Examination.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The admission will be made on the basis of centralized counseling to be conducted by H.P. University. Application on the prescribed must be submitted to the college office as per schedule. The form should be complete in all respect with all attested documents/ certificates to be submitted.
